🥫 September 16 — Let’s Talk Nutrition & Cook
Learning to Read Food Labels & Discovering Sodium
Students will learn how to read and understand food labels, paying special attention to sodium. We'll discover where sodium shows up in the foods we eat and learn how to make informed choices when choosing foods.
We'll finish with a fun, hands-on Apple Nachos Snack Lab! 🍎 Families can use ingredients they already have at home, and substitutions are welcome for allergies, dietary needs, or family preferences.

🌱 September 30 — In-Person Event
Farmers Market & Meal Planning
We'll take our learning into the community with a visit to the Farmers Market! Students will explore fresh foods and learn how the foods we find can become part of a meal. We'll also have fun planning a meal using what we discover. More details about this hands-on experience will be shared as we get closer to the event.
💰 October 7 — Money Talk
Saving & Growing Money — Now or Later?
Students will explore the importance of saving money and begin thinking about the choices we make when deciding whether to spend money now or save it for later.
📖 October 21 — Bible Study
Growing in Faith & Understanding
We'll come together for Bible study with a subject or topic that varies throughout the term, giving students an opportunity to learn, discuss, and connect God's Word to everyday life.

Jesus Saves Event
A special in-person gathering centered on Jesus, faith, and the message that He saves.
🌎 November 4 — Layers of the Earth
Let's Dig Into Earth Science!
We'll explore the different layers that make up our planet and discover what lies beneath Earth's surface.
🔥 November 18 — Fire, Fire Safety & Chemical Reactions
Let's Explore Fire & Safety!
We'll learn about fire, how to stay safe around it, and why fire safety matters. Older students will take the learning a step further by exploring chemical reactions and the science behind what happens during combustion.
🚒 November 30 — In-Person Event
Fire Station Visit — CPR & More
We'll take our fire-safety lesson into the community with a visit to the Fire Station, including opportunities to learn about CPR and more.
✍️ December 2 — How to Write a Letter / Essay
Finding Your Voice Through Writing
Students will learn about the basics of writing a letter or essay and how to organize their thoughts and communicate their ideas clearly.
🔬 December 16 — Science With Mirrors
Light, Reflection & Mirrors
We'll explore how mirrors work and discover how and why mirrors reflect light. Students will use observation and hands-on exploration to investigate reflection and see the science behind the images they see in a mirror.
🎉 December 31 — In-Person Event
End-of-Quarter Celebration!
We'll close out the September–December term with a special in-person celebration of all we've learned, experienced, and accomplished together!
